REVIEW, SWATCHES, FOTD OF MAC LIPSTICKS RUSSIAN RED, BREATHING FIRE AND FEEL SO GRAND.

It was a sale...everyone was ready and so I was...
In the midnight I was still awake to avail this offer as it was the first time that Mac Cosmetics was giving this offer( where if you buy any two Mac lipstick the third lipstick will be free although the store will decide which one they will give free) in India on the selective store and on online Nykaa.

Now one may be can't avail the offer from select stores but everyone has access to Nykaa, so I knew it going to huge rush there and so I wanted to place my order as fast as I can...Luckily Nykaa was giving BREATHING FIRE  lipstick as free which was on my wishlist from long back and so I immediately avail the offer.

So that was a long story behind getting these three MAC lipsticks FEEL SO GRAND, RUSSIAN RED and BREATHING FIRE.

I bought FEEL SO GRAND and RUSSIAN RED and I got BREATHING FIRE as free.

Price of lipstick:-
Lipsticks are priced Rs.1500/- each and Retro matte Liquid lipsticks are Rs.1850/-.

Availability:- Nykaa and on Mac stores.

RUSSIAN RED and BREATHING FIRE are from the permanent range of Mac matte lipsticks. Both the lipsticks are matte in texture. They glide super smoothly on lips. And yes not to forget both the lipsticks have that signature vanilla scent of Mac ;) Both the lipstick stays approx 6 hours on my lips intact without fading. They are comfortable matte and so they can be carried for hours without getting scared that your lips might get dry further.

RUSSIAN RED  is a beautiful cool tone red which can be considered as cousin sister of MAC RUBY WOO (Lol :P ). The lipstick is perfect for all skin tone. It is although a cool tone red, thankfully it doesn't pull out as pink-red on me surprisingly.

BREATHING FIRE is a cool fuchsia with a matte finish. Now this lipstick is perfect for people who have fair skin tone. It might look wash out on medium to dusky skin tone people. The cool tone actually needs to work a bit more on my strong warm undertone fair skin. But I love the shade on me.

FEEL SO GRAND is a retro matte liquid lipstick from Mac cosmetics. It is a beautiful neutral Red (described by Mac) matte finish liquid lipstick. Being matte it is still comfortable on my lips without making it further dry so I just love the texture of these liquid lipsticks of Mac.  The red shade just brightens up my skin tone a little bit. The shade is just for everyone, for every skin tone people. The lipstick stays pretty 6-7 hours on my lips without cracking or fading. But if I eat any oily food it tends to fade from the middle portion of lips (common cons of almost all liquid lipstick). Otherwise, it is a transfer proof and waterproof lipstick.

Overall Mac lipsticks are my favorite lipsticks. I am a collector of Mac lipsticks from a long time back and this is one brand I guess I will never be bored.

So, that's all for today until next time :)

MAC Holiday 2015 Magic of the Night collection Lipstick:-

Gotcha! I know I am pretty late in posting Mac holiday collection…the break from blogging actually made me over energetic nowadays that I started posting each and every post that saved in my draft from a long time. I know I am late in posting this collection but the two lipsticks that I am going to share my experience is pretty from Mac permanent range. Yeah, thankfully and so don’t kill me and let’s head over to blog post ;)

About MAC Holiday 2015 Magic of the Night collection:-

Every year Mac always launch Holiday collection. Last year the collection was a huge success. They launched four beautiful lipsticks among which two were from the permanent range in limited edition packaging.

I skip the limited edition shades as those two shades were not for me and I grab two shades “ALL FIRED UP” and “PLEASE ME” (both are from Mac permanent range but re-launch in this collection in Limited edition Packaging.)

Packaging:-
Oh boy! The packaging of the lipsticks is worth mentioning. The packaging is a beautiful magical combination of pink and purple metallic case (hope I describe the packaging well :P ) like the name of the collection itself “Magic of Nights”.

Coming to the lipsticks from MAC Holiday 2015 Magic of the Night collection:-

I know most of you have both lipsticks, still for the sake of post let me tell you once again please (for newbie, you can check out my review here ;) )

Both the lipsticks are a matte finish. “PLEASE ME” is a beautiful mid-tone warm pink matte lipstick, whereas “ALL FIRED UP” is a pretty “bright fuchsia matte.” lipsticks. “PLEASE ME” belong to the matte range of Mac Cosmetics lipsticks and “ALL FIRED UP” is from their Retro matte collection range.

PLEASE ME is a perfect daily wear neutral pink lipstick, perfect for warm skin tone. I usually paired up this lipstick with either Smokey eyes look or with winged liner and jet black kajal look.

The lipstick is matte in texture and stays pretty 6 hours on my lips. The lipstick glides smoothly without any tugging or pulling of lips. It has that awesome vanilla scent which fades after few minutes of application. The lipstick is quite comfortable on lips. It dried up my lips a bit after a couple of hours which I don’t mind as I am a matte lipstick lover. So dry lips people should apply a lip primer/balm underneath the lipstick. It slightly fades after 5 hours which is okay as I have fair skin tone so it matches to the color of my lips a bit so I don’t mind carrying it like that way for one more hour or so. “PLEASE ME’ lipstick suits well to fair to medium skin tone only although I believe if you are confident enough about any shade then definitely you can try it and break this categorize thing… ;)

Coming to ALL FIRED UP, a perfect lipstick that can be worn anytime paired up with tan eye look or shimmery gold/bronze look or with jet black kajal look. The lipstick is from Retro matte range of Mac lipsticks, hence it is a bit dry on lips. But it glides smoothly on my lips without pulling my lips. It stays perfect 5 hours on my lips. But with time It turns little flaky on my lips during winter. So I use either a lip balm or primer beneath this lipstick during winter. ALL FIRED UP is a perfect lipstick for all skin type, so bang on if you love it ;)

Over in all both the lipsticks are must have lipstick in my stash as I love them both. Mac lipsticks definitely overpriced but I still believe it is worth buying for me. So if you love them, you can grab them as these are permanent (if you are not a packaging sucker, like me).

I hope you like today’s post.
I will see you soon with some ancient beauty post draft that still lying untouched in my folder. ;)

Love Sammy.

Review & swatches of Mac retro matte liquid lipsticks:-

Lipstick…Lipstick in my stash …whose the next that going to add…?" :P

So finally, I am up for review and swatches of my most recent buy MAC RETRO MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK. Yes, finally after so many brands, Mac enter into the field of liquid lipstick Game. I have tried many liquid lipsticks from different brands, whether high end or just Drugstore. Few has succeeded to impress me (who is a sucker of lipstick) and few are disappointing. The very first day when Mac announce the RETRO MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK, I started planning for the same.

And apart from 15 (I guess there are 15 different shades), I finally sort out and settle into three. It was a hard and tough decision for me to settle on three when you have planned so many…Lol

Mac retro matte liquid collection going to be in permanent range or not that is a different topic to discuss. As Delhi Mac store has no information regarding the same. I grab TO MATTE LOVE, TAILORED TO TEASE & DANCE WITH ME.

Price: - Rs.1800/- each. [I know, I know …too pricey as it burns a hole in pocket….]

TO MATTE WITH LOVE is described by Mac as a beautiful bright raspberry pink.

TAILORED TO TEASE is described by Mac as bright fuchsia. If I try to describe the shade more specifically then the shade is a beautiful fuchsia plum which is medium dark with warm undertones.

Finally, my favorite among all three DANCE WITH ME is described as a beautiful cranberry red. The Lipstick is a beautiful red lipstick. It is hardly dupeable. I never had this kind of red in my stash before. And yes all thanks to my darling friend come soul sister SUKANYA for recommending that to me [Babes! I love you for that ;)]

Coming to the review & my experience part:-

The retro matte liquid lipstick comes in a usual liquid lipstick packaging like other brands use to have generally. I mean Mac end up with the same kind of transparent tube with a wand like liquid lipstick usually have. The packaging definitely nothing new compare to other liquid lipsticks from different brands but again thinking about those extra bucks that I shred for Limited edition ones I am really happy with the packaging. The lipsticks are quite creamy in texture that glides smoothly on lips. It turns out to in matte texture after few minutes of application. So one need to be very fast while applying the lipstick. The lipsticks are very pigmented. As one-time wand dip in these liquid lipsticks is enough for your entire lip. It stays pretty 6 hours plus on my lips. It survives light meals and snacks and beverages too. Most of the brand turn out patchy after some time of application but I found Mac one is not patchy at all. I heard the lighter shades do have such patchy issues but with darker shades (those three I have) are not patchy at all.

Among all three my favorite is very obvious 'DANCE WITH ME', shade.

So finally, it's me trying out all three shades at one go.

MAC RETRO MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK "TO MATTE WITH LOVE" ON MY LIPS.

MAC RETRO MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK "TAILORED TO TEASE" ON MY LIPS.

MAC RETRO MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK "DANCE WITH ME" ON MY LIPS.

I am quite impressed with the liquid lipsticks that Mac has launched finally. And I wish it going to add on permanent line soon as I found there are few more shades in this collection that will rock on Indian skin.

Dupe list: -

TO MATTE WITH LOVE nearest dupe is MAC ALL FIRED UP.
TAILORED TO TEASE is actually a dupe of MAC FLAT OUT FABULOUS.
DANCE WITH ME nearest dupe can be MAC PLEASURE BOMB. Although I will disagree a bit with the dupe one of Dance with me as I found it is a unique shade in this collection that has no exact dupe till now.

So, that's all for today and I will catch you soon with a new post.

You can check out the live swatches of these beautiful lipsticks in this video below along with a small tutorial over my eye makeup look that i have done here in these pictures ;)

Love
Sammy :*
