REVIEW AND SWATCHES OF WET N WILD PRODUCTS

Our very own one-stop destination for makeup NYKAA finally started to stocked "WET N WILD" products. Wet n Wild is a drugstore brand which has awesome makeup products at affordable price.

I picked up few items from this brand. I picked color icon glitter eyeshadows, catsuit liquid lipsticks and highlighters(I bought them from abroad before nykaa launched Wet N wild).

I shared my views regarding all products that I bought in the video below.




The products I bought are:-

1. GLITTER EYESHADOWS:-

The Glitter eyeshadows are price Rs.135/- each. I bought shades BINGE, BLEACHED, GROUPIE, DISTORTION, VICES, BRASS/LATION. The Glitter eyeshadows are a big disappointment for me. As they are flaky when they dried up, uneven while applying and they spread here and there once it dried. So a big no-no for me.

2. WET N WILD CATSUIT LIQUID LIPSTICKS:-
 
The catsuit liquid lipsticks are priced at Rs.499/- each. The shades are REBEL ROSE, GIVE ME MOCHA, NICE TO FUCHSIA. The liquid lipsticks are one of the best liquid lipsticks ever I tried so far. They are super pigmented. The texture is mousey kind of consistency. Easy to apply. They are super comfy on my lips and stays 6/7 hours on my lips without making my lips dry.

3. WET N WILD HIGHLIGHTERS:-

The highlighters are priced Rs.499/- each. I picked two shades from this range, one is  CROWN OF CANOPY and another is  PRECIOUS PETALS. Both the highlighters are super pigmented. They blend easily on skin without enhancing the pores. The shade PRECIOUS PETAL is a beautiful gold highlighter whereas CROWN OF CANOPY is a peachy kind of highlighter.

Overall leaving those glitters eyeshadows I love rest of all the products that I grabbed. If you are looking for some budget-friendly makeup then you should check out this brand.

Review and Swatches of L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation

Today I am up with newly launched L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation. Recently I am more into affordable drugstore brands and that's why when L'Oreal launched this new foundation, I thought to give a try.

Price: - Rs.595/- for 30ml. And now it is on 20% Republic sale in Nykaa.com where you can grab it in Rs.476/- here (it is non-affiliated link)

A little information about this foundation from the brand:-

• Introducing the 1st 12Hour Matte skin perfecter brightens skin for matte that’s never flat.
• 12H shine-free. Shower fresh liquid formula.
• Gives a new sleek bright matte finish.
• 12H lasting actions absorbing mineral micro sponges diffuse their matt powder - Instantly by stopping the excess oil.
• Progressively by regulating sebum secretion during the day.

Packaging:- 
 
The foundation comes in a beautiful pink tube packaging for which it is easy to carry anywhere. I am really scared to carry those glass bottle foundation in my bag as it can break but this packaging is sturdy tube packaging for which I would love to give +1 for it.

The foundation disperses only by squeezing the tube through a small nozzle for which it is mess free and easily controlled that how much you need for a single application which is not present in glass bottle foundation.

My story:-

Now the moment I saw L'Oreal launch a new foundation, I was really curious to try it as it is going to be my first foundation from L'Oreal (sounds weird, I know...lol). So, when Nykaa was having some sale going on before I grab this foundation in shade N1.

Now L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation comes in 5 different shades, for which it is really confusing a bit as the shades are not for all skin tone in terms of undertones. I am warm undertone and have fair skin tone (am NC 30 in Mac foundation now)so it was a bit confusing between choosing the shade G1 or N1 as G1 as strong yellow undertone which might make me look more yellow while N1 has the slight pink undertone which will either go perfectly with my skin tone or I will end up buying foundation that has pink undertone. Whenever I choose any foundation I always try to choose yellow undertone one but this time after researching a lot I decide to go for N1 in double mind.

Thankfully I choose the shade N1 which blends and match seamlessly with my skin tone, now this makes no sense that how a pink undertone foundation matches my skin perfectly...err!!! I don't know. Anyways, thankfully the foundation works on my yellow undertone fair skin tone surprisingly.

My experience:-
 
L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation in shade N1 is light in texture for which it blends seamlessly with my skin. I don't feel any after drying effect during winter in my skin after applying the foundation, maybe because I have oily skin tone during summer which turns into normal during winter but it might make little bit drier to dry skin during winter. It has SPF 11 in it. It gives a very natural coverage which means it is perfect for daily wear foundation. But again one need a concealer to hide any dark circles as the foundation covers all the minute marks of acne or pimples but unable to hide dark circles to some extent. The foundation coverage can be buildable but again layering more than 2 layers of it might make you look cakey and patchy after some time. It claims a very nice semi-matte finish which turns into little more towards matte during winter for which an additional moisturizer is necessary along with this foundation during winter. But it is definitely going to work best during all those sweaty summers. The foundation claims to stay 12 hr which is not right as well because it stays pretty 7-8 hours during winters in my skin so in summer I can guess it will stay near about 5-6 hours on my oily skin.

Overall L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation is a perfect drugstore foundation for daily wear in affordable price. All I wish it has little more shades option in this foundation otherwise a very good everyday wear foundation for oily skin tones during summers.

Review and Swatches of Nyx Matte Lipstick in Tea Rose:-

Starting with a big applause and a warm welcoming hug for NYX COSMETICS for coming back again in India. Today’s post is all about my current crush/old love for “NYX COSMETICS”.  The love for this brand was pretty old but the change of price hike (I admit I was little disappointed with new price) might make me doubt my old love.
 

Anyways, so the story start like this…
"The sudden opening of Sephora near my area and launching of the online store of NYX COSMETICS in India in NYKAA.com, created so much hype in me and in other makeup lovers that I had to buy something almost everything from this brand."
 

So, last weekend I was accidentally hit the Sephora by chance and there I met with this beautiful lippy lying on the testing table and was waiting for a home. As I was in Sephora I had to pick something for me as it would be a disrespect of makeup if I ignore them.  So, I pick up this beautiful lipstick from the store ;)

 Price:- Rs.625/- for 4.5gm.

Packaging:-

The lipstick comes in a black and white transparent combo packaging. The peep through of color between the black case and the cap made easy to recognize the shade from outside. The lipstick comes up with a twisted pattern like regular lipstick. The base of the case is little flimsy because the case might not be fitted well, as whenever I take out the lipstick from my stash I can feel something is movable inside the case. Luckily it doesn't hamper the lipstick or its base and is happy with my purchase.

 

Color, texture, and pigmentation:-

The lipstick TEA ROSE is a beautiful neutral pink lipstick in matte texture that will suits mostly fair to medium skin tone beauties. The matte texture is quite comfortable on my lips and it doesn’t pull or tug my lips during application. It has a mild plastic smell that hardly I can smell. The lipstick is quite pigmented, as 1-2 swipes are enough to get the actual color.

 

My experience:-

The lipstick is a beautiful pink neutral shade that is perfect for day wear and can be pair up with Smokey eyes too. It is quite pigmented as I told earlier and it stays pretty 5 hours on my lips. It fades slightly after having heavy oily food so touch up is necessary after a meal. Although it is a matte texture lipstick (as it claims) but it is actually a satin matte. It is quite comfortable on my lips. The lipstick neither bleed nor patchy. The smell of the lipstick is like plastic which is little bothering and bit weird too but it is so mild that I hardly can smell it, so i decided to give it a pass :)

 My rating:- 4/5 (due to the flimsy packaging and the mild plastic smell in the lipstick).

My conclusion:-

Overall NYX COSMETICS MATTE LIPSTICK in shade TEA ROSE, is a beautiful daily wear neutral pink shade that shouldn’t be ignored.

 

 

Dupe list:-

As I told earlier that the lipstick is a neutral pink shade so I thought it is quite a dupable one. But when I compare with few of my neutral pink lipsticks with it I hardly found exact dupe of it but still I am putting a comparison swatches of all pink neutral lipsticks along with NYX one together on my hand (NC35) so that it will be easy for you all to decide :)

REVLON MATTE LIP BALM IN SULTRY is a 2-3 shade darker than NYX COSMETICS LIPSTICK TEA ROSE.

MAC NOUVELLE VOGUE 2 shade lighter than NYX COSMETICS LIPSTICK TEA ROSE.

COLOURPOP LUMIERE LIPPIE STIX has totally different undertone than NYX COSMETICS LIPSTICK TEA ROSE (I don’t know why I put it on this comparison swatches…silly me!)
