Review and Swatch of Avon CC cream in N*de:-

After a pretty long time here I am back with a new review…Sorry for being MIA again and again from my blog…actually didn’t get time from my personal life and with time the responsibility started to grew more and more ….

Anyways that’s a different part of story …let’s get focused on today’s review…

I got Avon CC cream long back during its launch but I want to use it fully before I come to any conclusion so my review comes up so lately ….

Price: - Rs.399/- for 18g but can be available on offer sometime.

Available through Avon representative only.

It comes up in two shades…one is N*de and other is in Medium wheat.

Avon CC cream comes up in a beautiful black packaging with name printed on it in Golden which made to look the tube classy. It comes up with twist up cap. Totally travel friendly packaging.

Now here is the picture of what it claims:-

1. Corrects skin tone.

2. SPF 50/PA+++

Now coming to my experience:-

I got the shade in N*de to review and the moment I squeeze the cc cream to see the swatch the first impression was really good as I found it blends easily on my skin and absorb pretty well. Although the shade Nude look little whitish on my skin but with proper mixing it with any moisturizer I tone it down a bit. The cc cream is creamy in texture, not so runny nor so thick. Very little amount cream is required to cover the face. It has Spf 50 so thumbs up for that. Now coming to another part, the cream although blends and absorbs in skin pretty well but it doesn’t stay whole day and as I have oily skin so I found it made my skin a little more oily in summer than usually it behaves and I sweat a bit more than usual.  But now as there is slight chill in weather my skin behaves much better with this cream. Although the consistency of the cream is balanced but still I found it little heavy on my skin. But this cream will go perfect on dry skin, as I gave it to my mom to try it and yes the cream suits her much more than on me although the shade look whitish on her too. Next is the shade option are restricted too and for which I think dusky skin beauties have to avoid this cream as there are no shade option for them.

So here are pros and cons:-

Pros:-

·         Nice packaging.

·         Travel friendly.

·         Require small amount.

·         Blends easily.

·         Absorbs very quickly.

·         Have SPF too.

·         Perfect for dry skin.

Cons:-

·         Might not suit people having oily skin.

·         Shade options are restricted.

My rating: - 4/5

My recommendation: - if you have dry skin and you are either fair or medium then this cc cream can be a good choice.

Review of Avon Matte lipsticks in shade Lilly and Garnet:-

Hey friends,

“Lipstick can’t solve all problems but it’s a pretty great start”- is the most useful line for me ….as I am a lipstick addict so whenever it comes about lipstick it always bring a smile on my face.

Few days I post a picture with caption “what came in my mail today”…. And it was from Avon …a cc cream (which I will review later after few uses) and two matte lipsticks.

This month Avon launches “Matte Lipsticks” in 10 beautiful shades. Among which Avon send me two beautiful lipsticks from their matte range collection for review purpose. One is Lily a cool blue undertone pink shade and another is Garnet a sizzling hot red shade.

Price: - Rs279/- (on offer).

Avon claims:-

Moisturizes lips while depositing vivid, dramatic, color on lips. Velvety matte texture envelopes lips in full rich color without drying.

The lipstick comes in a nice sleek black case packaging with the top of the cap is see-through one. The cap tightly fitted with the lipstick with a sound of “click” so it is easy to carry.

Both the shades are pretty pigmented; one swipe is enough to get the color. The texture of the lipsticks although claim to be matte but I found they are satin finish with glossy look on lips. The lipsticks has no smell at all so thank fully it is perfect for those who have sensitive nose like me. The bullet of the lipstick is little broad for which I found it bit difficult to apply directly from bullet on my thin lips, so I use lip brush to get the perfect pout. 

The lipstick as I told earlier is not matte at all so it is not drying too instead of that the lipstick is pretty moisturizing on lips. I personally love to layer my lipstick but in this case whenever I tried to layer it the creamy texture of the lipstick accumulate on the corner of the lips giving a very uneven scary look so I use lip brush to get an even look of lips, from this I came to conclusion that as the lipstick are cream texture and well pigmented, so no need to go for layer after layer that I use to do, instead of that 1-2 swipe is enough.

The Shade Lily is a blue undertone pale pink which I think is perfect for only fair skin beauties whereas Garnet a versatile red shade that will suit anyone. Both the lipstick suits me well but they look like gloss on my lips which I don’t like much as I was expecting a true matte lipstick. The lipstick stays pretty 3 hours in this hot summer without any meal and drinks. It transfers a lot which bother me a bit too but over in as long as the shades are pretty and pocket friendly I don’t mind with the cons.

Here are few of my lip swatches of both lipsticks first three are Lily and next three are Garnet, sorry for the dull pictures as the weather is really cloudy today and i was waiting for a week to see the sun but at last i click in this cloudy day and post but will do a Fotd with these lipsticks pretty soon on a bright sunny day :)

My final verdict:- Avon launches some good lipsticks which has no shimmer in it (I hate shimmery kind of lipsticks) and gives a perfect satin finish look of lips. The lipsticks are just perfect for dry lips people and it is quite moisturizing too. So despite of few negative points I like the lipsticks.

And at last telling you a secret, I ordered another lipstick from this range which I will review pretty soon. Till then keep smiling and grab atleast one of these lipsticks if you love it before it goes out of stock :)

Review of Avon ultra color lipliner in Deep Plum:-

After reviewing the newly launch Avon Glimmersticks brights in cobalt cool here I am up with another product of Avon and this time it is a lip liner…yes, Avon ultra color lip liner in deep plum that I got from Avon for reviewing purpose.

Price: - Rs.229/- 

Avon claims these ultra color lip liner are looks freshly applied for hours. They are light weight formula and define lips without smudging.

Coming to the packaging first, Avon comes in a nice sleek twist up packaging in which it holds 0.25g of lip liner which is quite enough to use for months.

The texture of the lip liner is really smooth. No tugging or pulling of lips while applying the lip liner. But what bothers me a bit that lip liner after few minutes of application turn my lips dry a bit. I generally use lip liner as the base of my lips before applying the lipstick so this might be the negative point of the lip liner. 

The lip liner is really good in pigmentation and nice color pay off. As it comes in a twist up packaging so no sharpening require and hence less wastage of product.  The shade deep plum looks really nice when swatch on my hand but when applied on my lips it look bit scary for me so I avoid posting lip swatches here as I don’t want to scare my readers. The shade is really beautiful but my skin tone never goes with plum shades , it look vampy on my skin tone so I always  use it to just sketch my outline of lips but medium to dusky skin beauties can carry the shade pretty well. The deep plum is true to its name.

Over in all Avon comes up with a pretty plum lip liner that are nicely pigmented and decently priced.
