Review of Khadi sweet almond oil

Hi,
Today I am up with my third oil review that is Khadi sweet almond oil.

Now let see what the oil claim:--

KHADI 100% PURE ALMOND OIL ,DINEWLY OUT OF SWEET ALMONDS IS RICH IN GLUCOSIDES MINERALS VITAMINS AND PROTEIN. This IMPARTING EXCELLENT NUTRITIVE.

Skin & Hair Care:- Low density of almond oil helps quick absorption in all skin types there by relieves itching, sore dryness inflammation, dandruff, all types of sports (sports????...it might be spots I guess ) and pimples.

Massage:- When massaged the inherent  therapeutic qualities of almond oil, strengthen brain and nervous system prevents muscular pain and soften the skin as excellent baby massage oil.

Medicinal value:-A teaspoonful (5ml) of khadi’s sweet almond oil if taken regularly with warm milk at bed time prevents constipation and provides relief from pleurisy of low saturated and high mono saturated acid helps removes LDL Cholestrol.

Price:- Rs.160/- for 100 ml.
Self-life:-2 years from Mfg.Date

Now my experience:-
The bottle comes with flip cap opening, having a pusher inside it to avoid the spill out of oil like the bottles of other oils of khadi have...The color of the oil as you can see is light yellow !

Well the company claims so much about the effect of oil on skin and on intake of oil but doesn’t focus much onto the effect of oil on hair and scalp…
I apply the oil onto my hair for every alternate day of the week…and i found it reduce my hair fall rate to some extent ...from 20 to 7 hairs during shampoo (hehehe i always count !!! ) but never applied on my skin as I have different routine for my body (will tell you later ). And telling you secretly inspired by the claims of intaking the oil ,one day I intake I teaspoonful of sweet almond oil….Yikes !!! totally odd taste…it is not sweet at all…bitter in taste. So I finally give up and decided to stop intaking the oil .
Now next claim of the oil is all about massaging it to baby…well,as a mother I can’t experiment on my baby…neither any mom out there will do it I guess so…no comments on this claim!!!
The oil has very very mild smell of almond …light in texture, requires in small amount and it moistens well in my dry hair.

My ratings:- 4.5/5 as I don’t like the packaging at all.

Will I buy it again? Yes  sure as it reduce my hair fall to some extent.

Review of Khadi Brahmi Hair oil !!!

Hello Friends ,
Here i am up with my second oil from khadi.
 Khadi Brahmi Hair Oil.

The company claims:-
Indication:- BRAHMI OIL IS RICH IN ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTIES THAT MAKES IT ONE OF THE POPULARLY USED OILS.IT IS AN ANTI-DANDRUFF OIL WHICH WILL ERADICATE THE SIGNS OF DANDRUFF FROM YOUR SCALP IF USED REGULARLY.THIS HERBAL OIL COOLS DOWN YOUR SCALP A ND PROVIDES NOURISHMENT TO THE ROOTS OF YOUR HAIR MAKING THEM STRONG FROM WITHIN,THUS REDUCING HAIR FALL.BRAHMI OIL ALSO PREVENTS PREMATURE WHITENING OF HAIR.

How to use:- Massage the oil gently into the scalp in a circular motion,so that the oil is best absorbed.

Price:- Rs.110/- for 210 ml.
Self-Life:- 24 months.

Now this is the picture of the bottle.

As you can see the oil comes in a transparent plastic bottle (which i found is really low quality one ) with a flip cap opening, beneath of the flip cap there is a pusher that help to prevent any wastage of oil.
The oil is light green in color slightly heavy in texture. And the smell? well, i know it is odd but the Brahmi oil smells like that of khadi amla hair oil :D

Now my take :-
The oil is really heavy in texture but it leaves my hair little dry.I know it is little odd as how can can a oil let your hair dry? but its true may be due to its anti dandruff property .this oil require more in amount for my hair compare to all the other oil that i am going to review soon ! This oil is sticky in nature too but still a very good thing about this oil is it makes my dandruff less near about zero....in fact i cant see any dandruff onto my hair if i stop using for more than a week ( i am a lazy person ....)

Pros:-
Easy available.
Cheap cost and the amount is good.
Works really good in dandruff .

Cons:-
Require a lot amount for my hair.
Smells like amla...which is a big question ??????
It leaves my hair dry every time i use the oil followed by shampoo.
Plastic bottle is cheap quality.
Not travel friendly as i found the flip cap became loose after 2-3 times opening.

My rating:- 3/5 (deducted 2 for all the cons)
My recommendation:- If you have dandruff then only you can try it but i don't think it require for normal or dry hair .

Review of Khadi Amla Hair oil !!!

Hello friends,
Here I am with my most awaited posts regarding all the oils from khadi that I brought one month back from online store.Firstly I thought to review all the oils at one post but then I thought it will be not fair if I don’t review all the oil individually as I have lots to say and show.In fact my experience with each oil is different…!

Today I am going to review khadi Amla hair oil.

Now let see what the company claims:-
AS PER AYURVEDA ITS LOCAL APPLICATION ON SCALP GIVES GOOD RESULTS IN HAIR LOSS. IT STIMULATES HAIR FOLLICLES THUS PROMOTING HAIR GROWTH AND ALSO IMPROVES TEXTURE OF THE HAIR. IT ALSO PREVENTS PREMATURE GRAYING OF HAIR.IT ALSO ACTS AS A NATURAL HAIR CONDITIONER.
How to use:-
Massage the oil gently into the scalp in a circular motion ,so that the oil is best absorbed.

Net Wt.210 ml
Cost:- Rs.110/-
Self-life:- 24 months.

Now first let us see the bottle:-
The bottle is plastic in nature, transparent one showing a very deep green color of the oil.It has a flip cap opening and a pusher beneath it to avoid any wastage of oil .The Smell of the oil???? It is typical smell of any amla oil (dabur amla oil for example ).Little heavy in texture.

Okay finally my take on this oil:-
The bottle at first didn’t impress me much when I saw the picture on an online store but still I brought it as I faith grown on “Khadi” products after using their few soaps.

As I told you before that the oil smells like typical amla which I like it but the smell is very strong which might cause little headache to those having sensitive nose. Secondly the oil is heavy in texture so you can’t go out putting oils ion your hair ( I know  today everyone are cautious about oiling hair and going out …I mean gone are those days of 40’s !!! :) )
I apply the oil in two ways either just pour out of the bottle and massage it or sometimes I make the oil little warm and leave it for overnight.

Now let see which claiming points are fulfilled:-
The oil help to reduce hair fall to some extent but the effect doesn’t last longer  (no herbal products can fight with the pollution just with one application in a week I guess )so I use to apply twice or thrice a week to keep the effect working.
The oil leaves my hair fully conditioned.
One additional points it makes my hair soft and shiny.

Pros:-
Easy available .
Require less amount.
Works good on hair fall problem.
Removes my dryness of hair.
Quantity is good amount.

Cons:-
The plastic bottle is poor quality have tampered problem.
The flip cap after few opening and closing became loose.
The Smell of oil is too strong.
Doesn’t have prolonged effect, have to apply 2-3 times a week to keep the good effect onto hair.

Providing all the cons still my ratings is 4/5 as the oil work great onto my dry hair,so thumbs up to this oil.
My recommendation:- well I may not recommended to anyone due to all the cons but I will suggest that at this rate you can try this oil once.

Khadi fresh Jasmine Soap

Hello,
Today i am going to review my current soap that i am using last two weeks...It is non other than kahdi fresh jasmine soap.

Now let see what the company claims:-
It is a herbal glycerine body wash (?????????? body wash ....it a soap lol !!! )
It is handmade bathing bar .
An ayurvedic body wash (now see this is not my mistake...i wrote as per written in the soap ) cleanses the skin and body dirt. It removes dead cells from skin and giving smoothness and soft feeling.
Usage:- Apply body wash (???) on wet body and face, rub to produce lather then wash off.

Ingredients:- Each 100gms contains:-
Jasmine 0.25g, ghartkumari 0.25g (i guess it's a spelling mistake...must be gritakumari..tell me if i am wrong ), haldi 0.3g, Loohra 0.4g,padmakh 0.7g,madhu 0.3g,glycerine 1 g,purified water q.s.  ,base to make 100 grams.

Price:-Rs.50/-
Wt.125g.
Self-life:- 24 months.

As you can see the soap is yellow in color...transparent plastic covering is there !

Now my take:-
The day I brought this soap I have loads of expectation as I have a good experience with the khadi lavender soap…but alas ! it won’t stand up my expectation as in short it is not good at all…why? Here are the reasons below…

  •  The smells doesn’t stay long. In fact the smell of jasmine is so mild which fades away while taking bath with the soap.Like the foam ,the smell of jasmine wash away too.
  • The soap melts very quickly  where as the lavender one took three weeks to came to an end.
  • Does not work up good lather (I always prefer foaming /lather wash…who don’t? ).
  • Compare to the quality I found it bit pricey.
  • The packaging is simple and not customer attrackting…I found the plastic cover little torn when I got my parcel..so they had to be little careful with the packaging I guess…!

As I mention all my points above so I guess no need to wrote down the Pros (which I don’t find any) and cons (that are too many).
My ratings:-2/5 due to all the cons
I will not buy it again neither will I recommended to anyone.

Have you tried khadi soaps? Which one?Do share with us.
Thank you for stopping by.
