SWATCH GALLERY -COLOURPOP PINK PHRASE 2

Today's swatch gallery presents another two palettes all from the brand Colourpop Cosmetics.

Now Colourpop launched this (Pink) Phrase 2 collection last year from which I pick up everything from this collection. I pick two palettes and a lip kit.

I picked the following:-

• ColourPop Belle of the Ball Pressed Powder Shadow Palette is retail for $18.00 for 0.20 oz.
•  Colour Pop Pressed Powder Face Duo -DONE DEAL palette is a limited edition and retails for $16.00 and contains 0.56 oz.

ColourPop Belle of the Ball Pressed Powder Shadow Palette:-

This palette consists of pink-themed shades. It has two warmer and pink and coral shades and then a deep, cooler pink and a light, frosty pink shade.  All the shades are super pigmented. The texture of the eyeshadows is so soft that it blends with ease. All the shades stay forever( if used with a primer) until I remove it with makeup remover else they stay pretty eight hours on my eyes without fading.
Overall the palette is very pretty and looks so girlie as the theme of the palette is pink.

• Secrets is a light pink with warm undertones and a matte finish.
• Soft Core is a medium pink with warm undertones and a matte finish.
• Fair Play is a bright and dark pink with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish.

ColourPop Pressed Powder Face Duo -DONE DEAL palette:-

ColourPop Pressed Powder Face Duo -DONE DEAL palette is a limited edition palette. It consists of a blush and a highlighter.

Shade description:-

• Above & Beyond: It is a matte warm pink blush
• Made Me Do It: It is a pearlized highlighter in the champagne pink shade.

ColourPop Pressed Powder Face Duo -DONE DEAL palette comes in a cardboard sturdy packaging. Both the blush and highlight are soft, silky in texture. Both the shades are super intense in pigmentation. 

The blush blends easily on the skin and the shade is buildable one. Coming to the highlighter, it gives a nice subtle glow on my skin and it doesn't enhance the pores of skin too. Both the shades stay 7-8 hours on my skin without fading.

Overall I love this palette as I love the shade Pink.

Colourpop Mixed Finish Lip Collection Phase 2 (pink):-

Now moving to Colourpop Mixed Finish Lip Collection Phase 2 (pink).

ColourPop Cosmetics released a three-part monochromatic collection for Spring 2017 (Nectar, Pink, and Sand) and included three lip bundles, so I grabbed the pink phase only.
Each lip bundle comes with three different types of finishes: satin, matte and gloss. Phase 2 comes with all pink shades.

Shade Description:-

• Chandelier: Ultra Satin Lip; true salmon pink
• Fresh Cut: Ultra Matte Lip; true blue pink
• Curtsy: Ultra Glossy Lip; mid-tone warm pink in a Crème finish

Leaving the shade Chandelier the other two suits my skin tone pretty well. The Matte and satin finish stays on my lips pretty 6 hours whereas gloss wears off after two hours or so. But still, I love the glossy one more than other two as it is super pigmented despite being a gloss.

The lip kit is overall a good one and one can always wear it by mix and match all the three shades together or with lip liners.

My experience:-
The palette comes in a cardboard packaging with magnetic closure. It consists of 4 highlighting powders( 2 shimmery, 2 mattes), 2 contour powders, 1 bronzer, and 1 blush. The palette has a mirror but it has no brush.

All the highlighting, contour, bronzer and blush powder are super pigmented. The texture of each powder is soft and they are very easy to blend. There is hardly any fallout I noticed.

There are two shimmery highlighters and two matte one. The shimmer one perfect for highlighting cheekbone while the matte one can be used under eye area to set concealer or to brighten up under eye area.The shimmery highlighters have subtle shimmers in it which can be buildable. But no matter how heavy handed you apply those highlighters you will never go overboard (they don't create the blinding highlighting effect on skin). They don't enhance the pores of the skin and gives a very sheen glow on highlighting part of the face. So definitely the highlighters are worth trying.

Coming to the contour powder, the palette has one warm tone and one cool tone contour powder, along with that there is a matte bronzer (yes you can say the third contour powder can be used as a bronzer). All the shades are super pigmented so it is suggested to apply these contour powder light-handed.

Lastly, the blush is a beautiful pink color matte texture blush which will look good on fair to medium skin tone beauties. It might washout on duskier skin tones. The texture of the blush is super soft and again it is also super pigmented.

Overall the palette although named as highlighter and contour palette but it is a complete palette of highlighters, contour powders, bronzer, and blush. If the money is not a concern for you then definitely this palette is worth buying as you don't need to carry any of these separately while traveling. This one palette and you are sorted.
