Packaging:-

Colourpop palette always has classy packaging. I love all the palettes that I grabbed earlier and this one too. This palette comes in a blue cardboard box with some multicolor designs on it. Both the box and the palette have the same packaging for which if you keep this palette without the box in your stash it will add beauty to its design. The palette is sleek, sturdy and easy to carry. Although it has no mirror or any brush in it which is a down point in packaging.

My experience:-

The palette has 12 mixed shades of matte and shimmers. The shimmers are more like pressed pigments which work best with fingers or wet brush. The matte shades are highly pigmented. They are buttery in texture and so they blend easily on eyes. But the shimmer shades have a little bit of fallout. The palette is basically having a very odd combo of shades for which one might not feel it attractive. So it is a hit or misses kind of palette for many.
As I am an eyeshadow lover and I love to create different eye look so I feel the palette is a hit for me.

That's all for today, I will catch you in my next post. Until then bye....

REVIEW AND SWATCHES OF JUVIA'S PLACE THE SAHARAN PALETTE

Hey Everyone,

Today I am up for reviewing JUVIA'S PLACE THE SAHARAN PALETTE.

Price:-23$
Availability:- JUVIA'S PLACE website here or Instagram sellers. I personally bought it long back from the Instagram seller (pardon me! forgot the name and the price I paid for it).

Saharan Palette was inspired by the vibrancy and vivaciousness of the Fulani culture.Saharan Palette has 12 beautifully coordinated colors with a combination of 4 matte colors for Transitioning, Shimmery and Satin Finish.

INGREDIENTS:-

Talc, Magnesium Stearate, Mica, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Triethylhexanoin, Mineral oil, Kaolin. May Contain Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxide(CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Manganese Violets (CI 77742), Chromium Oxide Greens (CI 77288), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Red 40 Lake.

Packaging:-

JUVIA'S PLACE THE SAHARAN PALETTE comes in red cardboard packaging with Egyptian figure on top of the palette. The palette is sleek and the packaging is sturdy. The palette has no mirror or any brush in it.

My Experience:-

Well, I have almost all the best palette from Juvia's Place. I have NUBIAN 2 PALETTE , ZULU PALETTE , and MASQUERADE PALETTE.

JUVIA'S PLACE THE SAHARAN PALETTE is the palette which you don't find attractive at first sight neither later too(lol). The shades in it are quite dull and confusing one. In fact, I have hardly seen anyone to pick it. I bought this palette during a sale (quite a good excuse to buy!) because I wanted to try this out and want to increase my Juvia's Place palette collection. The shades in this palette are very dupeable one and I bet everyone has almost this kind of shade in their stash. Moreover, it has no mirror or brush in it for touch -up(okay, I am just putting my point...you can ignore this).

But what I love about this palette is the palette is sleek, easy to carry. The pans are huge which will take years to end up. The eyeshadows are buttery in texture and super pigmented. One hardly need to work hard to blend it. They blend easily and stays forever on your lid unless and until you remove it with makeup remover. And yes, being pigmented it doesn't stain your eyelids which is definitely a big thumbs up for me.

Overall I love this palette for its quality and I admit I bought in curiosity only. The shades are quite a dupeable one as I told you earlier so if you have all these shades in the stash already then you can happily skip it.

That's all for today. see you in my next post :)

Packaging:-
The palette comes in a black slim case. The plastic case although very sleek but not so sturdy. If you drop you might break the eyeshadows. The palette has no mirror or brush in it.

My Experience:-

The palette is a mixture of all possible neutrals shades. There are mixed shades of matte, satin and shimmers shades. The shades are medium pigmented. It takes little effort to intensely applying the shades on the eye. The shades are easy to blends and they have fewer fallouts. The eyeshadows are good for beginners only but if you are a pro then you might not get that satisfactory result the way you wanted and need to work a little bit more to get that desired shades on eyelids. The eyeshadows stay pretty 5 hours good on my eyelid without any primer. But these shades work best with primer. Bh cosmetics eyeshadows are good but not better. I wish the brand work little bit on eyeshadow formula rather than on packaging only.

That's all for today. See you in my next post :)

REVIEW & SWATCHES OF COLOURPOP PRESSED SINGLE EYESHADOWS

Hi Everyone,

So today it's time to show my COLOURPOP PRESSED SINGLE EYESHADOWS collection.
Colourpop started launching this pressed single eyeshadows from last year and it is just a "HIT"  product for me.
Why? kindly read on...

Price:-$5 for 1.5g.
Availability:- Colourpop website here

"The powder eyeshadow of your dreams - super pigmented colour in a metallic finish, easily blendable, and velvety soft texture creates a soft focus effect that’s super long-wearing."

My Experience:-
Each single shadows come with the single palette (It has a mirror in it) which is just free. Sometime Colourpop has offers like if you buy 4 eyeshadows you will get an empty palette free. So in both ways, these single shadows come with palettes. Colourpop Single Eyeshadows comes in three type of finish MATTE, SATIN AND METALLIC.

I collected most of the colourpop eyeshadows when they were having the discount on eyeshadows and these were $4 each. The reason for collecting so many Colourpop Eyeshadows is just that these are very very affordable one. All eyeshadows are super pigmented. There is not a single shade in my collection that doesn't work properly. The eyeshadows have the buttery texture and they blend easily into my eyes. There are very fewer fallouts. Matte and satin shades are really good while metallic work best with wet brushes.

Overall Colourpop Pressed Powder Single Eyeshadows are must-have for your eyeshadow collection stash as they have a wide variety of colors with the different finish and at an affordable price.

The palette shown in this picture is also from Colourpop. the empty palettes come in two sizes. I have both of them. The mini palette holds 12 colourpop eyeshadows while the big one holds double i.e.24 colourpop eyeshadows. The palette looks really luxe as it is white in packaging. But again it is a drawback too as white packaging gets dirty very easily. So according to me except the packaging and the brand name that is associated with this palette, it has nothing extra in it. These are easily dupeable empty palettes that you can find in many other brands or in random brands too.

From Right (wrist) side to left side the shades are: GOING STEADY, OH SHIP, SECRETS, TIKI, SOFTCORE, FAIR PLAY, ON THE FENCE, ISSUES, TAKE A BREAK,SLIM FIT, CENTERFOLD, FOR SHORE, BEST COAST SCENARIO,SEAS THE DAY, SANDBAR, MUSCLE BEACH, PIECE OF CAKE, 143, GET OUT, STAY GOLDEN.

Packaging:-

The packaging of the palette is super luxury one. The white packaging of the palette is very pretty. And the name "KYLIE" written in gold on top of the palette add the cherry on the top.
The palette comes with a mirror on the lid and a white blending brush.

My Experience:-

The palette has a story, the time the palette was launched all the big YouTubers(mostly) just bashed the palette on internet saying that the palette has weird smell, the pan of the eyeshadows doesn't stick properly in the palette, as they move the fingers on the pan it keep revolving on that place. All the down points were actually stopping me to invest on this palette.
But seeing one of a friend bought this palette I decided to give it a shot. And that was the day...till now I never regret buying it.
The palette is definitely pretty. There is no weird smell in the palette at all (just don't listen to the rumors). But yes few pans in the palette although revolve when you move your finger in it but they stick pretty well in their place and never intend to come out. The shades are beautiful. The choice of shades combo in the palette is just good (again, all I miss a black shade...). The eyeshadows are buttery in texture and they are medium pigmented. The shimmer shades are damn pigmented while you need to work a little bit more with the matte ones. The blue shade in this palette (which always draws my attention whenever I open this palette) has a little bit of fallout but it is also awesome pigmented.

Overall the packaging of the palette is 8/10 as the pan revolve(lol...I am still in doubt that they might come out during traveling) and the shades choice and pigmentation of eyeshadows are 7/10 (as matte shades have fallouts).

So that's all for today...see you in my next post.

SWATCH GALLERY- COLOURPOP "THE KNOCKOUT" & "BLOW ME AWAY" PALETTES

Hi Guys,
So currently I am in a swatch mood and that's why I decided to share all those pending swatches of products that I am yet to post on my blog.

So, in today's post, I am going to swatch two best palettes of Colourpop Cosmetics.

One is ColourPop Pressed Powder Face Duo-THE KNOCKOUT and the other is ColourPop BLOW ME AWAY Pressed Powder Shadow Palette.

Price:-

  • Colour Pop The Knockout palette is a limited edition and retails for $16.00 and contains 0.56 oz.
  • ColourPop Blow Me Away Pressed Powder Shadow Palette is retail for $18.00 for 0.20 oz.

ColourPop BLOW ME AWAY Pressed Powder Shadow Palette:-

ColourPop BLOW ME AWAY Pressed Powder Shadow Palette is a mix of warm peaches, corals, and oranges eyeshadows. All the shades are super pigmented. The texture of the eyeshadows is so soft that it blends with ease. Among the four shades, two shades (Centerfold, Slim Fit) are not actually eyeshadows, they are “Pressed Pigments,” which are listed as “not intended for use in the immediate eye area”. As these are pressed pigments so they have some fallouts too. While the other two has almost no fallouts. All the shades stay forever( if used with a primer) until I remove it with makeup remover else they stay pretty eight hours on my eyes without fading.

  • Take a Break is a light peachy gold with warm orange undertones and a soft, metallic sheen.
  • Issues is a light peachy orange with warm undertones and a matte finish.
  • Centerfold is a bright, medium coral with orange undertones and a matte finish.
  • Slim Fit is a rich, dark coral-orange with red undertones(warm) and a matte finish.

ColourPop The Knockout palette:-
The face palette has two shades in it. One is a blush and another one is a highlighter.

  • EXCUSE MY FRENCH- pressed powder blush. It is a medium orange with warm undertones and a matte finish blush.
  • LIKE TO WATCH- pressed powder highlighter. It is a medium gold with strong, warm orange undertones and a frosted finish.

ColourPop The Knockout palette comes in a cardboard sturdy packaging. Both the blush and highlight are soft, silky in texture. Both the shades are super intense in pigmentation.

The blush blends easily on the skin and the shade is buildable one. Coming to the highlighter, it gives a nice subtle glow on my skin and it doesn't enhance the pores of skin too. Both the shades stay 7-8 hours on my skin without fading.

Overall these palettes are awesome palettes and worth buying one. I love both of them as both are just perfect for summers.

So, that's all for today.

REVIEW AND SWATCHES AND FOTD USING SUGAR COSMETICS BLEND THE RULES EYESHADOW PALETTES

The best way to color your eyes are Eyeshadows...lol :P silly me, always trying to start in a dramatic way but end up doing a mess :P

So, better I start normally...

"Finally, the day has arrived when I am up with the review and swatches and fotd using SUGAR COSMETICS EYE SHADOW PALETTE. You can call me weird as when makeup world (INDIA only) going gaga over this SUGAR COSMETICS BLEND THE RULES EYESHADOW PALETTE, I was just sitting back waiting for my palettes to arrive and watching all beautiful makeup pictures of other bloggers and was thinking that "what I am going to review? Everybody already pointed out everything..." but still when I received those palettes, my heart was pounded out in excitement and I decided no matter how late I am I will be reviewing these pretties on my blog definitely..."

So, Sugar cosmetics launched these BLEND THE RULES EYESHADOW PALETTE in two big palettes and 18 quads (well, that's a huge range of quads...).

The two big palettes are priced Rs.1599/- each containing 10 eyeshadows in each palette.
The small quads are priced Rs.699/- each containing 4 eyeshadows in each quad.

Information:-

Unleash your inner artist and create a makeup masterpiece every day with the SUGAR Blend The Rules Eyeshadow Palettes. With a range of 17 high-performing mattes and extra-creamy metallics, these super-pigmented shades are infinitely smooth and incredibly easy to blend. Snap up these jaw-dropping hues in 2 breath-taking ten-shade palettes that come with a dual-ended applicator - it has around blending brush at one end and a doe-tip sponge at the other. But wait, did we bring up its uber-chic packaging yet? This gorgeous tray of colors is built to dethrone the current pride of your vanity display. Talk about eye candy!

How To Apply

Start by taking a color that is a shade or two darker than your skin tone and run it back and forth onto your crease as a transition shade
Start blending at the point where you want the deepest color, like the outer corner and aim toward the place where you want the lightest color.  By doing this, a gradient will be created by the color choice alone
Next, go for the shimmer shade on the lid to get that pop. Use the doe-tip sponge applicator or a damp flat brush or your finger for that additional depth
Use a darker shade on the crease to define the eye shape. Start applying from the outer corner of the eye, making a ‘V’, and blend it halfway through the eyelid with the round eyeshadow blending brush

Easy Shade Guide:

The lightest color usually works well as a brow bone highlighter.
The second lightest color usually looks good on the lid and creates a base to apply the shade of your choice, matte or shimmer
The second darkest color usually works best on the crease
The darkest color usually works best in the outer corner

Benefits: Each of the 17 shades in the SUGAR Blend The Rules Eyeshadow Palette range is richly pigmented, blendable without loss of pay-off and lasts for hours without creasing or smudging. This product is dermatologically tested & approved and 100% safe for your skin.

Additional Details: The SUGAR Blend The Rules Eyeshadow Palettes come in two versatile options viz., Vogue and Firework. Also available in 18 captivating quad options. This product is free of parabens, D5, oil, mineral oil, and nano-ingredients.

List Of Ingredients: Mica, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Talc, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Hexylene Glycol, Magnesium Myristate, Tin Oxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Silica, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Dimethicone, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Diisostearyl Malate, Hexyl Laurate, Zinc Stearate. May Contain: Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Carmine, Ferric, Ferrocyanide, Bismuth Oxychloride, Ultramarines, Red 7 Lake, Yellow 5 Lake.

I am an eyeshadow collector and so I decided to pick up those two big palettes instead of those quads. The quads are a basically smaller version of these two big eyeshadow palettes.

Packaging:-

The eyeshadow palettes come in a black cardboard box. At the back of the black cardboard box, there are all the details regarding the palette has written like price, date of expiry etc.etc.
The upper lid of eyeshadow palette has the abstract signature design of Sugar cosmetics. The eyeshadow palette comes in a really hard cardboard packaging. I must tell you the palettes are really heavy and too sturdy. The palette contains a mirror and a dual-ended brush. So, overall the palette is perfect to carry during traveling.

My experience:-

As I told you earlier that I am an eyeshadow lover so it is obvious that I already have a huge collection of eyeshadow palette. But when sugar launched these palettes I decided to grab it as I wanted to try it out for my blog. I have tried many drugstore brand eyeshadow but till now there is no such brand that can satisfy me fully but my search of good eyeshadow palettes in drugstore brand hopefully ends here after I bought SUGAR COSMETICS BLEND THE RULES EYESHADOW PALETTE.

The eyeshadows have buttery in texture. They have good pigmentation. The matte shades have little fallouts but all the shimmery shades have almost no fallout. The pigmentation of shimmery shades is best to compare to the matte one in the palette. The eyeshadows are easy to blend and they work equally good with wet and dry brushes. The staying power of eyeshadows is really good. With proper eye base, they stay almost throughout the day and without any eye base they still stay intact during winter while fades from crease line only a little bit after 5/6 hours during hot and sweaty summer (but that is very common if you have oily eyelids for which a proper base is suggested during summer).

Coming to the shades choice in the palettes, both the palette has a very safe range of shade choices for which you can pick any one of them or both of them.

01 VOGUE

A neutral-toned palette with ten shades that are a mix of nudes, browns and warm neutrals – it’s everything you need to create the perfect day eye makeup look.

  •     Top Row (L to R): cream, beige mauve, light coral, deep plum and medium brown
  •     Bottom Row (L to R): champagne gold, bronze gold, copper, metallic rose gold and metallic chocolate.

02 FIREWORK

All you need for an evening/night makeup look, these ten shades are a mix of bold, bright and dramatic colors. This palette works equally well when you want to add a pop of color or nail the smokey eye look.

  •     Top Row (L to R): subtle mauve, medium brown, bright blue, taupe grey and blackened purple
  •     Bottom Row (L to R): bronze gold, bright gold, metallic purple, metallic rose gold and metallic smokey teal

I love both the eyeshadow palette and I created two different looks using this two palette. I prefer to use 01 for mostly day out while 02 for night out.
